Exterior house painting tip - caulking above windows and door frames.
Interesting topic I’ve been painting for awhile I grew up finishing the walls first then the frames the way you are saying.. I have tried both methods i understand finishing the frames first then the walls because of the edge it’s quicker.. but in saying that there’s a risk of damaging the frames etc.. Also if done in oil based paint you wanna make sure it’s completely dried before finishing the walls
Do i need to primer seal acrylic render before using exterior self priming paint ? Or can i just thin down 1st cost of exterior self priming paint?
Thanks so much
Thank you so much ✌️ ashamed of myself for trying with a knife 🗡️😅😅😅
Does that work with varnish?
Man is 32.
OR dry brush the edges to blend and fade.
Your sir, are a champion
Why not spray?
You sand primer?
Aaaaaa
This is very helpful. I only wish I watched it before I painted my living room!
And what if there was no wide enough gap for the roller between the outlet and the side wall? What's the plan then? Great video, clearly explained.
thank u for that tricks . i'm gonna try it. hat is what i am searching for
Painting in a zoo?
some videos say the first coat should be diluted with water but that didn't happen here and I don't know if it's really necessary or not.
8 foot
Thank you
Simple and clean, exactly the top that I needed! Thank you 🙏🏼
Very well spoken , Aussie accent , great video , great advice
Can’t understand you sorry
I always end up with the paint on the cieling.. I can't seem to get crisp edges. I've tried tape, no tape . Insist can't seem to win..but I have an angle brush..guess I'll try again.. sigh.. thx
How comes you don’t roll it off after? Or will the second roll cover any brush marks?
Unbelievable,we now need a vid to show us how to put it back on fs
So far the best wall paint video . Thanks
Do you have any tips for how to avoid getting run-off when painting? I have to keep sanding back because all the paint keeps dripping down the wall as it sets, when I paint it it looks fine.. come back 5 mins later and its all running down the wall lol. Edit: Also I keep finding the paint is ripping when I go to do the layoff roll - again any suggestions would be appreciated.
1. Less paint in your roller 2. Don't use Dulux wash and wear
Don't layoff roll - all you're doing is going back to your finished section and messing with the paint that's setting off. It's unnecessary and won't do much in result anyways
@@BazzaThePainteryeah cheers, I was beginning to suspect dulux wash and wear might’ve been part of the problem too haha I have practiced several times and gotten it a lot better (numerous sandings later lol) - still have to use basically hardly any paint on the roller to achieve no drip marks. Brushing is another story still trying to perfect that but yeah that dulux seems really runny, unfortunately I’d brought a 15L bucket to save money so I’m stuck with it now 😅
The way your glossing the door frame is the right way old school by doing that way your glossing everything inside instead of walking in and out.. a lot of painters now usually do start behind the door and gloss the whole frame inside and outside and continue with the top and side as all one piece so you don’t miss a section
Thank you for sharing this skill.
Nice work mate have watched most of your videos Awesome work have subscribed cheers
can i just use a garbage back to seal both roller and paint tray?
Which roller do you use? Brand? Thank you for reply 💪

Thanks Sir
Thanks Sir Greetings From West Africa Ghana 🇬🇭
Does this work if you do not have an Australian accent? I could always cheat and buy a can of Fosters lager.
Thank you So Much ! Extremely Helpful!!!
That’s a lot of time and expense when you have plenty of containers available that are free. When I was in the trade I had 2 x 10 litre buckets with lids in my van. One was for dirty rollers that needed to be washed for another colour and the other one had cleaned rollers that were stored in water. The dirty roller was stored in water in the dirty bucket and the cleaned ones were ready for use after they had been spun out with a roller spinner. The dirty rollers were cleaned at home with a small plastic cylindrical device that fitted onto a hose and could clean a roller from black in less than 5 listers of water. I went overseas for a couple of years and stayed for 10 and came back and checked the rollers. They were as good as the day I left them
Great video, thanks! Which brush do you prefer to use for this particular job, could you recommend one available in Australia?
The real way is to take the door off of the hinges so it is not half assed like this guy .
lol, so you obviously have never done it this way because if you have you would know it is the easiest way to do it and not half assed.
@@howtopaintinfo Lol actually professionals take the doors off as when you are charging good money you don't do it half assed as you have done .
How do you clean paint off the brush when it says "cleans up with soap and water" but the paintbrush still has paint in it? Also do you have a video for how to load the roller...my paint was on one side, it was a huge struggle to put the paint evenly on the roller brush.
You can use a wire brush to clean a paint brush, soap and water will only remove the wet paint and a wire brush for the dry paint. How to load a roller, ua-cam.com/video/s4BY7qPV3PM/v-deo.htmlsi=ZDS0tGKHD5VnqwCy Don't forget to Like, Share and Subscribe
I'm a union painter and at the end of every workday I use a large wire brush to remove the paint off the bristles with warm water as well. Soap isn't really needed.
What about a purdy parrot roller?
Show how to do in 9 inch r ok this all they guve us this morons
I normally masonry big brush first as it gets the holes better , and then roll over then , makes it look like no holes at all ❤
what kind of detergent do you use it ?
Honestly never thought of a spray gun for painting the cladding. Always assumed it was for cars lol
I would like to touch up the walls in my rental apartment- what’s the best paint for me to buy - I saw base A and Base B online and got confused

To close the issue once &for all.......just make an agreement which will be written as like fulfilling the more refunded payable demand instead of making the gurantee of whatever the opposite party wanted as their written doc.
Genius!
